About us

One family. Since 1960.

  • Family owned
  • Local
  • No pressure

66 years and three generations later, the name over the door has not changed and neither have most of the towns. That matters more than it sounds. Nobody here is working to a target set in another state, and the person who signs your check lives about twenty minutes away.

  1. 1960

Bill Reineke Sr opens Reineke Buick Oldsmobile on East Tiffin Street in Fostoria, Ohio.

  2. 1967

Welcomed into the Ford Motor Company family of dealers.

  3. 1972

The Perrysburg Road store opens in January. Still trading on that same site today.

  4. 1984

Tiffin Ford Lincoln Mercury on Market Street joins the family.

  5. 2005

Lima. A collision centre follows a few years later.

  6. 2009

Findlay joins the network of northwest Ohio stores.

  7. 2017

Honda of Findlay, continuing a business the Steven's family had run since 1956.

  8. 2023

Southgate, Michigan. The first store outside Ohio.

Three steps. That is the whole thing.

Here is exactly what happens, from the moment you send us your details to the moment you are paid. Most people are through the first step before their coffee has cooled.

  1. Tell us about your car.

Plate or VIN, or just the year, make and model if you do not have either to hand.

  2. We look at it properly.

Bring it to any of our stores, or send photos from your driveway. Either way a person inspects it, not an algorithm.

  3. You get paid.

Title transfer, lien release, bank payoff. All of it is ours to sort out. You leave with a check.

An estimate is a starting position and it assumes an inspection that has not happened yet. An offer is a commitment. Ours is the number you sign.

Why sell to Reineke

Where to sell your car in Ohio and Michigan

8 places to bring a vehicle, across 6 towns. If you would rather not drive, ask about a remote appraisal.

What people say afterwards.

What people ask us most.

No. Not now, not ever. We buy vehicles to stock our pre-owned lot, and that is the only reason. Plenty of people sell us a car and drive away in something they bought somewhere else.
